How much does forklift certification cost?

How long does it take to get forklift certified online?
Most operators finish our 5 modules and 20-question exam in under 30 minutes, and you can stop and pick up later. Other online courses commonly take one to several hours. The hands-on evaluation is a separate step done at the workplace.
Do you need a forklift license?
No. There is no government-issued forklift license, and OSHA does not issue forklift cards. OSHA requires your employer to train, evaluate, and certify each operator under 29 CFR 1910.178(l). What an employer accepts is the training record plus their own certification.
Is online forklift certification legit?
Online training is a legitimate way to complete the formal instruction OSHA requires, but it is not the whole certification by itself. OSHA also requires practical training and an evaluation of the operator in the workplace, and the employer must certify that both were done. Be wary of any course that says an online test alone is enough.
Is the forklift certification test hard?
Not if you read the lessons. Ours is 20 questions with a 30-minute limit, and you need 80% to pass. If you miss, review the lesson and retake it as many times as you need at no extra cost. The hands-on evaluation at your workplace is separate and is not a written test.
How long does forklift certification last?
Three years. OSHA requires employers to evaluate each operator at least once every three years. Refresher training is required sooner after an accident or near miss, after unsafe operation is observed, when the operator is assigned a different type of truck, or when workplace conditions change in a way that could affect safe operation.
