Terms of Service
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Who we are
Forklift Certified (getforkliftcertified.com and app.getforkliftcertified.com) is a brand operated by Flat Earth Equipment, Sheridan, WY. When these terms say "we" or "us," they mean Flat Earth Equipment. Payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of Flat Earth Equipment, so your receipt and card statement will show "Flat Earth Equipment." Certificates are issued by Flat Earth Equipment and can be verified at flatearthequipment.com.
Acceptance of terms
By purchasing, signing in to, or using Forklift Certified on the web or in our iOS and Android apps, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Training and certification disclaimer
Our course and written exam are designed to deliver the formal instruction and knowledge evaluation described in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178(l). OSHA also requires a hands-on practical evaluation performed by the employer in the workplace, and it is the employer who certifies each operator. Completing our course does not by itself certify anyone to operate a powered industrial truck; employers remain responsible for the practical evaluation, for site- and equipment-specific training, and for final certification and record-keeping.
Individual certification purchase
The individual operator course is a one-time purchase of $49 (plus any applicable sales tax) that includes the training modules, the written exam with unlimited retakes, and a downloadable certificate on passing. Access is tied to the email address used at checkout and is for one named person.
Employer subscriptions and free trials
- Crew and Facility plans are billed monthly or annually to the card on file. Plans that offer a free trial collect no payment method at checkout and charge nothing during the trial. If no card has been added when the trial ends, the subscription pauses (operators lose exam access and no new certificates issue) until a card is added; billing begins on the date the card is added, not retroactively. Adding a card during the trial starts billing when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
- You may cancel at any time from the Manage billing link in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; there are no cancellation fees.
- Crew seats are reusable: removing an operator frees their seat. Extra Crew seats are a one-time $29 purchase each and remain on the account while the subscription is active.
- Prices are stated in US dollars and may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply mid-term to an annual plan already paid.
Refunds
14-day money-back guarantee: if you haven't taken the exam yet, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked. For subscriptions, cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged. Subscription fees already billed are non-refundable except where required by law, but you keep access through the end of the period you paid for. To request a refund, email support@getforkliftcertified.com from the address used at checkout.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Managers are responsible for the operators they invite, for the accuracy of evaluation records they enter, and for how they use exported records.
Acceptable use
You agree not to share, alter, or misrepresent certificates; take an exam on someone else's behalf; share a single individual purchase across multiple people; or attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Content and intellectual property
Course content, exam items, certificate designs, and software are owned by Flat Earth Equipmentand licensed to you for your own (or your crew's) training use. Records you create — rosters, evaluations, and certificates — are yours to export and keep.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flat Earth Equipment's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for workplace incidents, regulatory findings, or losses arising from operating equipment.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
